AchieveAlabama.org is an online scholarship resource launched through the partnership and efforts of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, College Admissions Made Possible (CAMP), Cappex, and the Alabama State Department of Education to give high school students a tool to assist in the college admissions and scholarship application process.
The Rotaract Club of Birmingham was founded in 2004 to develop effective leaders and promote responsible citizenship. The Club’s membership is comprised of young professionals who are deeply committed to playing a key role in serving local, national and global communities. The Rotaract Club of Birmingham is the largest of the 8,300 Rotaract clubs worldwide, with more than 300 members.
Rotaract serves its motto, “Learn. Socialize. Serve.” by holding bi-monthly educational luncheons, professional development series, social events and regular service opportunities. The Club’s Signature Service Project, Ready 2 Read, was recognized by Rotary International as the Service Project of the Year in 2009. Ready 2 Succeed, a second signature project, connects members with high school students in mentoring relationships. The Rotaract Club of Birmingham is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Birmingham and Rotary International. For more information on the Club, visit www.birminghamrotaract.com.
